Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has unleashed his last talk with President William Ruto before he was kicked out of office.
Gachagua revealed that President Ruto was keen to have him resign rather going to the impeachment route. He said that Ruto offered him a hefty send-off package worth billions to resign as Deputy President.
However, he said he turned down the offer, stating that no amount of money would compel him to betray his community.
Speaking during an interview on Sunday, Gachagua said he challenged Ruto to first make the deal public which Ruto rejected.
During the Sunday service, Gachagua once again reiterated that his next political move would be announced in January 2025.
