Speaking on Sunday, December 18, Mbadi recognized the economic hardships facing Kenyans, particularly those in the middle class, and admitted that the current situation was far from ideal.
“I am not here to lie to Kenyans. Things are not perfect, but they are getting better,” the Treasury CS said.
Mbadi emphasized the government’s commitment to improving the economy and noted that he and President Ruto were determined to ensure economic stability and progress.
“We are working with the president to make sure that this economy works. We are hard-working, we are determined, and things will get better. Just give us the opportunity,” he stated.
