Ruto claims Kenyans elect flashy mps because of money not credibility

President William Ruto has raised concerns about how Kenyans choose their Members of Parliament (MPs), saying the trend of prioritizing wealth over leadership abilities harms the nation.

Speaking at State House during a session with digital journalists, Ruto called for a shift in how voters select their leaders.

The president pointed out that many MPs flaunt their wealth, showcasing luxury cars and expensive homes, particularly on social media.
