According to a report released today, President William Ruto’s government has deregistered 2,80p nongovernmental organizations. According to the study, these NGOs were deregistered because they violated some NGO standards and operated unlawfully in the country.

Surprisingly, these NGOs include the Sonko Rescue Team, Inua Jamii Elimu Centre, Apollo Foundation, Lenana Foundation Trust, International Cancer Institute Foundation, and Saint Martin’s Hope Foundation. These organizations have helped Kenyans more than the government, but they have been declared illegal and deregistered with immediate effect.
