Barely weeks after President Ruto announced the nation wide vaccination that is set to target about 22 million cattle and 50 million goats and sheep, some politicians, according to Nation media have raised their concerns about the vaccination suggesting that the initiative may be pushing for malicious motives.
A report from the department however has assured farmers that the vaccination is vital for protecting animal health especially after a rise in foot to mouth ,LSD, Contagious Caprine Pleuropneumonia (CBPP) and Newcastle diseases.
The department has assured farmers that the supplier of the vaccine is reputable and there should be no cause for alarm.
