In a dramatic twist in Kenyan politics, Mwengi Mutuse, MP for Kibwezi West, has disclosed what he claims are the rewards for backing efforts to impeach Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. Speaking candidly, Mutuse asserted that President William Ruto assured him of massive development projects for his constituency if he delivered on the impeachment bid.
Mutuse revealed that his constituents were promised better roads, increased employment opportunities, and other infrastructure upgrades. These pledges, he says, are a direct result of his support for the controversial plan to remove Gachagua from office. “The President guaranteed us progress,” Mutuse remarked, adding that his focus was on ensuring his people see tangible benefits.
