Kenya Red Cross disclosed that four people were treated at the scene of the incident, while one who was critically injured was taken to the hospital.
The humanitarian organization added that the fire was successfully contained by the Nairobi City County Fire Brigade and community members.
Meanwhile, no fatalities were reported following the incident and the cause of the fire has not yet been established.
The incident comes a few months after another deadly fire broke out at Mukuru Kwa Njenga near Muhindi Mweusi in Nairobi County, destroying 100 households.
