We are having rough time mt Kenya mps who supported gachagua’s impeachment.

Political unrest sprang out last week when former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua challenged his dismissal in court. Tensions between representatives and their people have increased as a result of the problem, especially in the Mount Kenya area.

A number of lawmakers said they are now terrified of irate constituents in their home districts who solidly backed the populist Gachagua. The deputy president had gained broad sympathy from the populace by presenting himself as an anti-establishment activist taking on the political elite before his stunning impeachment on corruption accusations.

For many rural voters who felt left behind by the system, his “one-man, one-vote, one-shilling” campaign and battle against illegal spirits won them over. One unidentified MP claims that most of the people who voted to remove Gachagua from office are now genuinely hiding to avoid being seen by the public.

To avoid being contacted by disgruntled voters, some have turned to using unobtrusive vehicles when traveling. Several politicians acknowledged that because of the intensely heated environment, experts had strongly encouraged them not to engage with the people at this time.
