Latest reports indicates that the spouse of former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua, Dorcus Rigathi now regrets for campaigning for president William Ruto.
Speaking as reported by Thursday’s Daily Nation publication, Dorcus Rigathi regretted being part of the preachers that campaigned for president William Ruto.
According to Dorcus Rigathi, preachers have always been blamed for backing the government and openly apologized before the crowd saying you can know someone during first meeting.
” We have been blamed for having preached and told Kenyans that the Kenya Kwanza’s government would be progressive and not destructive. We apologise because ehen you meet someone you cannot know his character”, she said.
This comes amid political woes Rigathi Gachagua is facing following his Impeachment as deputy president.
It should be noted Gachagua was Impeached over gross misconduct, graft cases and incitement despite denying all the charges.
On the other side, the former prime minister Raila Odinga is still optimistic of succeeding Moussa Faki as next AU chairperson, a position he’s being backed by President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza government.
Besides, he had received backing from Uganda’s president Yoweri Museveni, Tanzania’s president Samia Suluhu, DRC president Tshisekedi, Rwanda president Paul Kagame among others.
