It has now emerged that a meeting held between the Law Society of Kenya and the judicial service commission led by Martha Koome did not go as expected. According to senior counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi, the Chief Justice wanted the Law Society president Faith Odhiambo to side with them but failed.
Ahmednasir says that the KANU members who were also present at the meeting tried to convince the LSK president to side with them but she could not agree. He says that meeting ended in a complete disaster and everyone went their way.
“Looks like yesterday’s much hyped meeting at Pan-Afric Hotel between Hon CJ @CJMARTHAKOOME, members of the @jsckenya, The President of @LawSocietyofKe Madam @FaithOdhiambo8 and KANU Lawyers ended in complete disaster and disarray. CJ KOOME’s scheme supported by KANU Lawyers hit the buffers when LSK refused to play with ball with the scheme to whitewash runaway corruption in the courts.” Ahmednasir said.
Faith Odhiambo has been at the frontline in fighting for justice and Kenyans have praised her for it. Standing her ground and not accepting the deal with the judiciary is prove that she is fighting for Kenyans. Recently the judiciary has been under criticism for getting involved in corruption and Kenyans have lost their trust in them.
