Activist Morara Kebaso has fiercely criticized President William Ruto’s decision to appoint former Murang’a Governor Mwangi Wa Iria as the Chairperson of the Public Procurement Regulatory Board, citing concerns over the appointee’s integrity. Wa Iria, who has previously faced corruption allegations involving up to Ksh500 million, has sparked outrage among Kenyans questioning the government’s commitment to upholding ethical standards.
“How can a person facing corruption charges be trusted to head procurement in our country? This is an insult to Kenyans. We cannot accept this nonsense,” Morara declared.
